Group Facilitation
I create human-centred designs that allow groups to connect with their collective wisdom so they can move forward together with clarity and purpose.
What's Involved?
Why Invest?
Thoughtful facilitation creates intentional spaces for authentic engagement:
-
to solve problems
-
to unlock creativity
-
to access the wisdom in the group
-
to create consensus

Honour the time, energy and insights of your team by creating gatherings that are actually generative. Increase engagement and efficiency, while harvesting valuable data to inform your strategic planning.

Examples in Practice
While each facilitation process is unique - crafted through deep listening and consultation with each client - below are some examples of what it can look like in practice:
Group Visioning
In order to have the impact we are striving for, we need to make sure everyone involved is on the same page and committed to the vision. Spending time and energy on creating a shared vision and/or helping people fully understand and find alignment will ensure you're headed in the right direction and that everyone is pulling together to get you there.
Harvesting Collective Wisdom
The 'Collective Wisdom' and 'Art of Hosting' movements recognize that the insights and creativity needed to take your organization where you need to go are held within the members of the group itself. Skillfully and thoughtfully tapping into this wisdom and creativity will lead to solutions and innovations that are much more aligned and integrated than could be provided by any outside 'expert'.
Event Planning or Debriefing
The effectiveness of an event or process is going to be directly related to the thoughtfulness and care place in its design. By helping you get to the 'heart of the matter' and staying connected to this purpose, we can design gatherings that allow for authentic engagement. Likewise, bringing a thoughtfulness to the harvesting of insights from events can ensure that learnings are integrated into any future work.

"Chris is an excellent listener and facilitator. He brings a wonderful aura of calmness that allows those around him to open up and engage in genuine discussions about what works, and what can be made better."

“Saying you listen between the lines doesn’t do it justice; you’re hearing what’s between the lines three pages ahead."
